Snow is forecasted in the Souderton Borough area starting today December 26 and extending through December 27. We ask that all residents proceed with caution if you need to leave your home during this time frame. We ask that all sidewalks and fire hydrants be clear in accordance with ordinance 549.19. Your sidewalk should be cleared of any snow or ice within 24 hours of the end of the storm. The walk path shall be a minimum of 30 inches. Also, all hydrants in front of your property shall be cleared with an area of 30 inches around them so the fire company may access them in case of an emergency. Our highway department will clear the main streets first and then the secondary street once the main corridors are open for emergency vehicles. Alley ways will be plowed if the snow is greater than 3 inches in snow.
