Branch & Leaf Removal
Christmas Tree Collection will begin in January 2026 Souderton Borough
Christmas trees will now be collected along with brush. You may leave the trees at the front of your property. They will pick up all trees that are placed out until the end of January. Any trees out after January 31st, please contact our office for pick up.
Please make sure that they are free of all lights, hooks, and ornamentation.
Brush Pick up Details
Brush/branch pick up starts the first Monday of every month. Brush pickup must be called into the office no later than the week prior to collection. We ask that brush not be placed out prior to the Friday before collection is scheduled for. Rain/snow may delay the pickup. The brush requirements are:
- branches need to be one to six inches in diameter no longer that 8 ft in length,
- they need to be placed on the curbline in front of the house where the brush originated from. All
- there are to be no root balls, stumps, logs greater than 6 inches in diameter.
- brush should be stacked in a manageable pile.
- no weeds, ornamental grasses, or shrubs less than one inch in diameter.
- We aren’t able to take full trees so if you have a tree service take a tree down, they must remove it.
- Leaves must be on a separate pile from branches, unless the branches have the leaves attached from trimming.
All pickups must be placed in front of the house and there are no alley pickups for any of these items. Grass/hedge clippings should be bagged and placed in your trash tote. Rain/snow may delay the pickups and once the crew has passed your street they will not return until the next scheduled collection time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at the Borough office.
Leaf Collection
Leaves are picked up in April and again in the fall if you have leaves that you need to dispose of during other months of the year we ask that you bag them and place them in your trash tote. There is no need to bag the leaves for pick up they may be raked to the curb line in front of your house. Leaves are collected through vacuum equipment and disposed at a recycling facility. Please keep in mind that we cannot pick-up piles of leaves with excessive quantities of sticks, stones, hedge clippings, plant materials, and other trash. These items will damage or clog the equipment or jeopardize our ability to dispose of the load at the recycling facility. Collections will alternate each week between east and west sections of the Borough. The fall leaf schedule is posted on the website around end of September. We ask that leaves out to the street by Monday of the scheduled collection week. There is no need to call in for pick up with leaves as they go street by street with the truck.
