The Main Street Plaza and Sculpture Project Wins 2010 Green Futures Achievement Award

Pictured: Jeff Gross, Borough Councilor, Pam Coleman, Souderton-Telford Main Streets Manager, Jill Dietterich, Horticulturist, Mike Coll, Souderton Borough Manager, and Berdine Leinbach, of the Indian Valley Arts Foundation, are presented with the 2010 Green Futures Achievement Award by a representative of the Montgomery County Lands Trust at the October 20, 2010, awards ceremony.

Souderton Borough obtained funding for the project from the Montgomery County Commissioners and managed the hardscape construction of the plaza. The Souderton-Main Streets Design Committee created the design, and Horticulturist Jill Dietterich created the landscaping plan for the park and assisted with the planting. Volunteers planted, weeded, and helped install irrigation and the Indian Valley Arts Foundation commissioned the striking sculpture by Artist Wayne Trappe.
