At a special meeting held on August 16, Souderton Borough resident Preston Miller was unanimously voted to fill a vacant borough council seat left by Jonathan Gardenier, who represented Souderton’s second ward.
Miller will serve the remainder of Gardenier’s term, until the end of 2011. In front of family, friends, and council members, Miller put his hand on the Bible that was held by his wife Amy and took his oath of office.
Miller, who has lived on Noble Street with his wife Amy and daughter Isabel in Souderton Borough since 2008, is looking forward to help shape the future of the borough in his new councilor role.
“I wanted to get involved with borough council so I could give back to the community that has provided so much for me and my family,” says Miller.
Miller most enjoys living in Souderton Borough because of the great parks, community culture, and interesting local businesses.
Outside of his job as a Sales Manager at NetCarrier Telecommunications in Lansdale, Miller enjoys reading, music, and spending time with his family. He is also a member of the Souderton-Telford Rotary.
