Street Sweeping: Remember to Move Your Car

Remember to move your car off borough streets on street sweeping days during the month of May. Watch for reminder signs posted in your neighborhood by 2 p.m. the day before service.

The more cooperation we have from the community, the better we can sweep your street. Also, please do not rake leaves or other debris into the streets.

Street sweeping is an important component of storm water management – it reduces sediment build up and decreases silt accumulation in storm water that flows into our local streams. Street sweeping also helps weed control and, of course, beautifies the overall appearance of Souderton Borough.

2010 Street Sweeping Schedule:

May 10-14:  Section 1
Signs will go up the prior day between 12 and 2 p.m.

Weed Control:

Souderton Borough residents must also watch and maintain the growth of weeds along the curb and sidewalks of their properties. The borough will selectively spray along curb lines to aid in the control of unwanted wild plants.
