School District Approved Sale of High School Property

The Souderton Area School District approved an agreement to sell the site of the Souderton Area High School to Philadelphia-based Metro Development Co. The $11 million purchase price will go toward the service of debt on the new high school in Franconia Township and needed improvements to other district schools.

Metro Development Co. will not take possession of the property until the new school opens in September 2009. Read more about redevelopment in Souderton.
