High School Redevelopment Project on Track

At a special Borough Council meeting on December 8, Metro Development Company presented its conceptual plan that will transform the high school property into the Souder Hill Towne Centre. Some changes to the plan include eliminating the natatorium and private health club along Chestnut Street and proposing a 3-story independent and assisted living facility.

Next, Metro is expected to consider adjacent properties available for purchase, complete its sales agreement with the Souderton Area School District, and complete its land development plans. The land development review process is expected to take at least one year to complete.
