Pool Demolition Progresses,
Contractor Help Needed
June 4, 2010

As summer comes into full swing in Souderton Borough, even more pool demolition progress is being made! All buildings, concrete decks, and the tot pool have been removed by Franconia Township and Telford Borough crews. Most of the planned demolition work is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
Souderton Borough extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Franconia Township and Telford Borough public works departments for their valuable assistance and talents during the demolition phase of the pool renovation project.
Contractor Assistance Needed
Souderton Borough Council is requesting assistance from local contractors to help build a new bathhouse and concession area. Contractor support in this phase of the pool renovation project is vital for the pool committee to meet its fundraising goal. Donated in-kind services like this will help the Souderton Pool’s grand re-opening date stay on track, and will help the borough stay within the established budget limits.
Any interested contractor should contact either Council President Brian Goshow or Pool Committee Chairman Jeffrey Gross.
Bids for the main pool renovation work opened on Thursday, June 3. Borough Council is expected to authorize bids for the construction of a new filter building that will face Reliance Road. The filter building must be built in conjunction with the pool renovation contract – and the borough plans to award a contract on or before August 1.
